SURPRISE!

Last year I had a surprise party for my mom with her daycare families. It was such a huge hit that I decided to do it again. I didn't take very many pictures but we had an amazing time. My mom loves this! I am going to make it a yearly tradition, but I am sure that she will figure it out next time. She was totally surprised this year.

I do not have any pictures of mom...can you believe that??? Bad. Bad. Heather! It was an absolutely blessing when Megan showed up for a few minutes. This girl was in my wedding when she was two! Yes, you do the math, she is now 17! When my mom first started taking care of Megan, at age 1, I begged my mom to get rid of her..she cried all the time! I cannot tell you how thankful I am that my mom did not listen to a stupid teen. Megan is a blessing. We don't see her often, but has left a lasting impression on Kyleigh and Kyleigh has a deep love for her. Megan used to come spend the night with Kyleigh when Kyleigh was a toddler. I truly love this girl!

Now, here's Katherine. Isn't she adorable! My mom took care of Katherine's older brothers, ages 20 & 15 from the time they were newborns and when their family was blessed with a girl...so was ours. Kyleigh & Katherine are exactly a year apart. I can't tell you how wonderful it is that most of the families she has taken care of all the siblings and has had them all since the day their mom's went back to work from maternity leave. When you run your daycare like that, then it's more a family then a daycare. I've known most of these kids longer then I have known my own and I love all of them. Most of the kids even keep coming to my mom's daycare into their early teens because they aren't ready to leave and love it there :)

Here was one of the cakes. These candles cracked us up! They melted so fast that we didn't even have time to sing to her...and, then I accidently blew them out!

There were other families at the party as well and I'm sad I didn't take more pictures. We missed those of you that were not able to come and were so thankful for the ones that did. This will definately become a yearly tradition!
